Yes, they are absolutely safe to work with. This is the first time I have handled a large doll. I trained in preparing this doll and I would definitely say it was a good idea for me. I was not disappointed. The curves and softness (after arriving lightly oiled and powdered) more than make up for its weight. With proper lifting technique, this weight is manageable, but I would recommend taking your time and resting when moving it.
